My Dad Interview Journal
As an adult and having lost older family members over the years, I now regret not asking them more about their lives and I am sure many people have experienced this same feeling.

When I saw this new book, I knew we had to stock it. The My Dad Interview Journal helps ask questions and gives space to record answers, so that it can be used as a family record or as a nice keepsake that can be handed down.
Sometimes we can find it hard to know what sorts of questions to ask, but this is where this journal is a little different, it has questions prewritten on each double page. And it’s not a massive heavy journal, it’s a handy 6” x 4” pocket sized book, so it’s easy to carry and easy to keep.
Not only does it assist in recording Dad’s life and feelings as a keepsake it can also be used to encourage a childs communication skills and interaction in a relaxed question and answer format.
This is a beautiful little hardcover book, which once filled, can become a treasured possession amongst a family.
Ideal present for Father’s Day, birthdays or Christmas.
The My Dad Interview Journal available now from Gifts for Blokes.
Aussie Game Success
Its surprising the amount of times that you may think of an idea, think “oh yeah” that’s not a bad idea and that’s the end of it. Most of us have done just that at some stage of our lives.
But not Emily McDonald! She had a great idea and did something about it. Emily had dreamt of creating an Aussie board game for a number of years and what began as a hobby is now a full time business.

Oz Crawl the board game is loads of fun and is not a drinking game. It has been designed to fill a gap in the market of Aussie games and takes players around Australia.
Players travel around Australia and along the way are faced with various tasks, such as singing Aussies songs, answering Aussie Trivia, barter with other players and partake in two up. Emily says, “the game is very down to earth and tongue in cheek”.
For every game that is sold, Emily is donating $1 to Cure for Life, which was inspired by a friend who overcame a brain tumor.
The game is neatly contained in a tin, with an easy to roll out game mat – which makes transporting the game so easy.

Barbeque plate cooking sheet
When I was first introduced to one of these BBQ cooking sheets at a friends home, I have to say we were skeptical at the least! Would you lose that yummy BBQ flavour, would the food taste like plastic and would you still get that nice look and texture? Well I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised, all aspects of the barbie taste, smell and “look” were still there and no taste of plastic. What you didn’t get was the mess.So instead of spending half an hour scraping burnt marinade off the hot plate, the sheet was taken inside, washed in hot soapy water and put away for the next barbie, which then gave the host more time to sit back, eat and relax. So I have to say I was sold and knew we just had to stock this amazing product. Read more about the cooking sheet at Gifts for Blokes
