A fun way to look at buying gifts for men
Finding gifts for men can be challenging, friends and I would gather around Christmas time and moan about the difficulty of buying gifts for the male of our species. I swear my head used to ache and my feet blister just at the thought of “doing the shops” on the hunt for a men’s gift.
So here are some tips that may help you in your quest.
1. Never think that if you begin to think like a man, that you will be able to think of the perfect gift. This is a highly dangerous activity, you will end up with your head spinning and a look on your face that, yes you have seen before (on a man), and come up with three answers.
The first answer will be “nothing”, with the second answer of “dunno” and rounding out thought three will be the answer of a big screen TV or other electronic gadget that means total and utter entrancement.

Is there something from his past that he really enjoyed? Was he a Stars Wars fan or something similar, did he collect something once upon a time that YOU may like him to spend time on again. Be very careful when treading the collecting path – is this a place you want to go? Anyway think Retro – it’s very in to gather new stuff from the past. Think about his passions – apart from you of course – what else pushes his buttons! Is he outdoorsy or indoorsy? Think gadgets – men love gadgets and there are loads of new and intriguing gadgets suitable for indoors and outdoors. Is he a “do-er” or a “relax-er”. If he is a “do-er” then have a think about his next project – is there something that he could use to help him in his “doing”. If he is a “relax-er” then think about the ways he enjoys relaxing – is there something that you can get to turn him into a “do-er”? No just kidding – there are always new items coming onto the market to help the man of the house chill out. Is he a computer nut? If he is then you are in luck – there are lots of fun new knick knacks that add novelty value to the computer.
4. Avoid jocks and socks at all costs –no matter how badly he needs them. Once you do the jocks and socks thing – the man will know that it was all way too hard and he will completely overlook the fact that he really does need these items.
But seriously, with men’s gifts you do need to think outside the square and if all else fails there is always the big screen TV.
